Memories: Frozen in Time

Memories: Frozen in Time

Psalms 77:6

I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.

Philippians 1:3

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

April 15 was a beautiful, frozen day!  Everything that was dead and brown was transformed into an object of crystal and glass.  I am sure most of you did not “ooh or aah” like me!   I was enthralled by the frozen masterpiece our God was creating and tucked the sight into my memory box.  Then I remembered, things are not my most precious memories.   My most precious memories are related to my loved ones.  Accepting Jesus as my Savior is my brightest remembrance.  The joy of my sins forgiven and the promise of heavenly sunlight for eternity.  The first time I heard Tim Jackson pray will be one of my greatest memories.  Another memory frozen in time is the honor I felt when Tim asked me to be his wife.  The next memory that sparkles is my first sight of our son, Jonathan, and then more joy when Joseph was born.  Years later I remember them accepting Jesus as their Savior, that memory will shine forever!  A newer memory is the birth of our grandchildren that bring rays of sunshine to my darkest days.  Have you counted your memories?  They are blessings!  My family has been touched by Alzheimer’s and memory loss, so I feel blessed to still have my mind and it’s special memories. Count your blessings and your Memories! Cherish the Memories!

Wendy
