Become wise!

A wise son is described as a person who gathers when the season is ideal as there will be other seasons inevitably, so gather now when the opportunity is presented by the Lord.

Proverbs 10:5 He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: But he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

This is a call to all the church family to be wise. Your church, Community Baptist Church, has been used of the Lord, for His glory, a “gathereth” time in 2022, the financial contributions have Impacted our community: at Easter, we distributed more than 25,000 invitations by mail and averaged 225 per week tracts distributed; Community Week there were 15 salvation decisions; Mother & Daughter Brunch many ladies attending to hear the Word and fellowship; Men and Ladies Bible studies each month; record amount of food distributed through our food pantry; Master’s Club youth trained children in the Word each Wednesday, International Missionary church plants. Those are just a few listed ministries that have been supported through God’s plan of financial support.

It pleases God for His followers to be faithful in their tithes and offerings to the Lord through the church, even in the late days of spring and the soon coming summer. Have you fallen behind? There is a spiritual warfare going forth and your heart is at the center of the battle. Would you stand for the Lord through your contributions?

-honor God by bringing your gifts to worship services, and support God’s church every pay period. In 2 Corinthians 8:1-6, the Lord used the Apostle Paul to straighten things in the church through his letter. The Corinthians, who prospered had committed to support the Lord’s Work through their tithes and their offerings but were not. However, the Church of Macedonia was giving out of their need.

-honor God by making public worship a priority. Too often the busy schedules crowd God out, Who is your priority? It shows in your worship and will impact you, your workplace, your home life, your friends, and of course your church family. Hebrews 10:25

I am asking you to honor God and be wise this summer.
