The Next Step 2022
On March 6, 2022, the church will host a special Sunday with music, preaching, planning, and a catered lunch. Consider the opportunities to be a part of God’s calling through our local church. The Lord has brought His church together for this special time.
The Next Step is the most forward-looking Sunday of the year, for the Community Baptist Church of Lansing! Realizing the Awesome God’s rich provisions, believers can look towards stretching our faith in seeing Him do a miraculous Work through His children in His Church. In a sentence, The Next Step Sunday is the day God’s church trusts Him to provide for His Vision. All that is done in these church walls, through this local Bible-believing ministry, happens through God’s direction.
Knowing that the building and grounds are His is comforting. Knowing that He cares enough to have provided since 1990 is history. Knowing He is credited for doing a work in men, women, and children through the church is convicting. Knowing that God is not finished with His Church, is encouraging. Knowing that God uses His called-out assembly to do His eternal Work, is awe-inspiring.
The Next Step of 2022 is as follows:
First, let us give God the praise for all He has accomplished. He has provided 6.79 acres of prime land, improved with all utilities, built a sanctuary, classrooms, fellowship hall, restrooms, pantry, and pavilion. The buildings have been recently upgraded: covered with metal roofing; energy-efficient heating, air conditioning; and LED lighting inside and outside. Because of God’s people, all is paid in full. Thank you, God!
Second, let us branch out in faith to develop a master site, and buildings plan to utilize the facilities and grounds through sound counsel. As our original challenge stated: Retire all the church building debt while upgrading the church facility. Rise up and build the future facility to minister to the church and community. Redeem the property surrounding the church. The first step is completed, and now our attention is turning to Rise up! That requires the proper preparation while upgrading the building with renderings from an architect and design to build our future additions.
- Prayerfully trust God each day in prayer for His provision in 2022 each day.
- Promise God a generous, sacrificial gift as He directs you this year above your tithe and missions giving: Five gifts of $5000; ten gifts of $1000; fifteen gifts of $500; twenty gifts of $250; twenty-five gifts of $100; fifty gifts of $50. Give a one-time gift on March 7 or over the next twelve months.
- Practice worship of God by being in public worship at church at least one service every week to grow faithfully in the Lord and Savior.
- Promote God’s way by handing out one fresh Gospel witness/tract each week so others will have the opportunity to be in Heaven because of Christ’s sacrifice.
