Why We are Here…Romans 5:8!

Children's MinistryThe Lord has led our church to pray for twenty-nine days from February 17 to March 17, to ask God to guide us with our spiritual impact on our community. The purpose of the prayer is to please Him, to hear from Him, to know His will for our church as a congregation! There is no question that the Lord is working through our church with only twenty-two years behind us and eternity before us the opportunities are phenomenal. For example, last Wednesday evening a little boy announced to our assistant pastor that he wanted to quote the Bible verse for the month: with anticipation all the riders watched and listened to him nervously collect himself to quote, “Romans 5:8,

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

He then sat down with a big smile. When he was recognized for his accomplishment he responded, “I have been practicing all week!” This little boy has autism, he comes regularly through our Transportation Ministry (rides the bus for Kid’s Club) to hear and be taught the Way of Life through our Lord. This is just one of many examples of people-little people, older people, all people that are touched by our Savior through our church.
Would you pray about the ministry of Community Baptist Church? Would you pray each day for God to lay on your heart the vision for our church, the potential of the ministry, your part in the future of the Lord’s Work? Please consider the three fold plan of the “plant” the facility needs of the ministry:

Church Plant Goals

The objective in 2013 will be to position the church plant (building and grounds) to honor The Lord and not limit the ministry with debt or inadequate space to minister.

The three stage plan for the goal is: Retire, Remodel, Rise. Knowing the faithfulness of God as claimed through Jeremiah in Lamentations 3:23,

1. Retire all the church building mortgage debt in a timely manner. Through sacrificial contributions the church family will endeavor to pay off the current debt. The strategy will be to retire the debt in four to seven years, thereby saving interest and preparing for future needed development.

2. Remodel the church facility: renovate restrooms, install attic storage access, install additional  projector in auditorium, lighting improvements for interior/exterior and signage, parking/driveway improvement, extend electrical line to  feed buses, paint the interior.

3. Rise up and build the needed facility to minister to the church and community. The church would develop plans with the congregation input to satisfy present and future projected grow. Facility plans could include a family center consisting of a full size gym, fully equipped kitchen, classrooms and office space.

Thank you for praying for “29 Days for our Celebration Sunday on March 17”
