Reverend Joseph Christian Jackson is the Associate Pastor at the Community Baptist Church. He is married to Kyla (Farnham), a graduate of Grace Baptist College in Gaylord, Michigan. They make their home in Delta Township and love spending time together with their Children, Stephen Timothy, Elijah Thomas, and Gloriann Grace. His ministry is in directing music, youth, evangelism, management of media development, and counseling.

“Pastor Joe” has been serving the Lord in a full-time position with the Community Baptist Church of Lansing since May 2009. Before coming on staff at the church, he worked on staff as a summer intern for four summers, served as a camp counselor, missions trip leader, retreat coordinator, groundskeeper, personal liaison and was a business owner/operator of his own landscaping/snow plowing company for ten years.

His formal education consists of Master’s of Bible and Religious Education and a Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies and Evangelism completed at West Coast Baptist College, Lancaster California. As a youth, he was home educated with the Pensacola Video Home School Program graduating in 2005. Both Joe and Kyla are certified through SYMBIS as Marriage Facilitators/counselors both continue to further their education by going to conferences online studies and more. Pastor Joe earned his Ph.D. in Christian Counseling from Lousiana Baptist Theological Seminary.

Pastor Joe has a passion for learning the Word of God and promoting discipleship. He enjoys hunting, is an avid sportsman, reading books spending time with his family, and home improvement! His theme verse is 1 Cor.15:10  “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
