How do I get to Community Baptist?

A Map to our Church

What can I expect on my first visit?

You can’t miss our beautiful church property at corner Canal Rd and Mt. Hope Hwy. As you approach rear entrance, one of our hospitality greeters will meet you and direct you to the right classes and services. They can also answer other questions you may have.

Most adults attend our worship service where they enjoy the beautiful and inspiring music of the choir, ensembles, and soloists. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Pastor Timothy Jackson. This service is a little over one hour in length. Also, during the 9:45 Sunday School hour, there are Adult Bible studies and Children’s classes These classes are smaller group settings where you are invited to meet people, enjoy perhaps some coffee and donuts, and hear a great teaching lesson in a smaller setting. The best way to get to know people at Community Baptist Church is to visit one of these adult Bible classes.

Where do I take my children?

Starting with our excellent nurseries, there is something special and unique for every age and every child. Every service there are safe, clean, and highly staffed nurseries for children three years old and under. For Children 4 and up our purpose is to offer your children a place of enjoyment and excitement as they learn the wonders of God’s word. Our goal for each and every class is to create an environment that is both educational and entertaining. We want God’s word to capture every child’s imagination, making every class a place where God’s word is as exciting as He meant it to be. It is our Children’s Ministry sincere desire to let every child enjoy an age-appropriate class where they can worship God, grow a true relationship with Jesus, learn to serve others, and finally go share the love of Christ to everyone they meet!10620786_10152559183641136_5550636973921607632_n We have found the best ways to do this are through our Kid’s programs, different activities and events for children, kids’ clubs, summer camp, and vacation Bible school.

What about my teens?

Community Baptist Church has a ministry for teenager’s that is centered on the Lord and full of wholesome excitement. The dedicated adult workers plan activities, pray for the youth, teach great Bible lessons, support them with counsel and take them on mission trips to follow the call of God. Some of the activities in the schedule for the year included: Summer camp, a youth conference, the bus conference, a progressive dinner, volleyball night and a mall hunt.

How should I dress?

There is not a dress code at Community Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit us at any up-coming service.

Who is Pastor Timothy Jackson?
Dr. Tim Jackson has been the Pastor of Community Baptist church since God called him to start the church in 1990. He has a great heart for people and if you would like to learn more about his views, you can read his Blog, or check out his info page.

Do you use traditional hymns or combination of music. I left a church because of the “modern type music “ thank you
