Valentines From Janet Ketchum Toddler class at Church from last Sunday

Philippians 2:5

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

2 Thessalonians 2:2

That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

Every morning we thank God for another day we are here on earth together to serve Him and try to keep His Mind in our Hearts.  His mind gives us peace and direction.  We are so grateful for the promise of the His Coming, and pray that we go to Heaven together if God allows.  We look at the clouds and ask …..Is that the cloud Jesus is coming back on?  It is one of our favorite times of the day, to find the most beautiful, or different cloud to hope on.  Try adding this to your day, it will make you smile and think eternally!

When I try to explain how I am ready for Heaven, fully trusting God’s timing, I have to confess that I have been a worry wart and extreme planner for most of my life.  I have struggled to depend on God and actually facing death now has made it easier for me to just let go of my expectations and lean on God’s plan for my life.  I must trust His Mind!  One of the reasons is the thought that I will fully have His Mind in Heaven.  No pain, no worry, no tears, no sin, just the wonderful peace and mind of Christ.  I will never worry about my loved ones or world problems, I will have God’s full knowledge.  With nine grandchildren,  I pray a lot for their salvation and love for God. Concern for their souls and spiritual growth can overwhelm me.  When I get to Heaven, with God’s Mind, I will be at peace knowing His plan is working out perfectly for them.  I am trying to trust Him, and fully have His Mind.  Pray for me.  Giving your loved ones over to God is easy to type and hard to live.  But remember, God is so good to us.   We have a wonderful eternity of joy awaiting us.  What a glorious peace we will have when we are face to face with Jesus.

When I was a Kindergarten teacher, one of my favorite lessons was teaching them about Heaven.  I would fill the table with all the things that would not be in Heaven.   No bandages, no medicine, no shots, no tissues; there will be no sickness.   No flashlights, no nightlights, no sunburns, no lightbulbs, because God is the light.  Here on earth, I buy nightlights in bulk.  My family will tell you I have the lights on even in the daytime. Losing my sight because of my brain cancer is something I try not to think about.  I love light. I am praying for God to spare me that complication, or to give me the amazing grace to endure as a soldier of Christ.  I peacefully pray every night for God to graciously take me home to Heaven if it is  His Will.  I want to fall asleep next to Tim and wake up in Jesus’ arms. What a beautiful way to go to Heaven! Someday, I will be surrounded by the light of God and I will never see darkness again. Another glorious reason I am looking forward to Heaven.  The Lord is my Light and My Salvation!

My health has been up and down for the last month.  Asthma, bronchitis, medications giving me problems, sleeping the day away and being homebound for the month.  But, we are still trying to find joy in the beautiful sunrises, the glistening snow, the protected sparrows, and seeing my loved ones.  I have been so spoiled by my church family, friends, and family.  Tim has become a master chef and makes me the most amazing meals. I am so blessed.

Why Worry, When You can Pray! Heaven is just a cloud away!
