Dear Church Family and Friends,
On March 17, 2013, we plan on honoring God with a special day of worship. On that Sunday, our church will host a lunch, after the morning service for the sole purpose to enjoy fellowship and collect an offering. The Celebration Offering will be a one-time offering for the goal of paying down our building debt. You may also make a pledge to give over the next 52 weeks! There is no charge for the lunch, we just ask you to come prepared to help with the Celebration Sunday offering!
As you well know the Community Baptist Church has prospered under the hand of God. In the past year our church distributed the wonderful Message of Jesus to homes in our neighborhood (more than 12,000 flyers/Gospel tracts), we have conducted four church services each and every week of the year; we have offered rides to church on our bus and/or personal vehicles every service; we have conducted Family Vacation Bible School; hosted a “Community Week” evangelistic outreach; hosted organized youth activities and taken youth to Christian Summer Camp; attended Men’s Fall Retreat, hosted adult activities, Ladies banquets, couples conferences; we minister to the inmates of local jails/state prisons and the addicted, we feed the needy with our food pantry, we have visitation for the shut-ins, hospitalized, and new attending families; we conduct discipleship training, teacher training and mentor soul winners and best of all we pray and praise God. We pray for souls to be saved; for the new converts, we pray for lives to be changed; we pray for people to keep God in their life; we pray for the engaged to be married, the grieving, the heartbroken, the divorced, the singles, the destitute, the lonely, the seekers and the content; we pray for the Lord’s leading, the Lord’s guidance, the Lord’s hand our Nation, the leaders and the followers; we pray for our missionaries, the pastors, the church servant leaders, the teachers, the choir, the drama team, the Christian colleges/seminaries, the special church services and the revival of our hearts.
God truly has blessed us in a very special way. I want to invite you to come and be a part of this special Celebration Sunday, March 17. The lunch will follow the 11 AM service and the special offering will be taken at that time. God has used the building in a wonderful way and our church family has been responsible thus far to pay off building debt of nearly $300,000! Help us provide for the future for our children here at Community Baptist Church! This will be an exciting day. I hope that you can come. God bless you.
